Site coating of windows and doors can be conducted inside in dry conditions before the timber has been subjected to sunlight and rain. Coating using factory equipment is faster and a finish free from brush marks can be achieved.
Various methods of automated and manual coating can be employed.

Flow coating and dipping are the most common forms of applying coatings to saturation and can be used to help both primers and mid coats penetrate into difficult to reach areas and wet out end grains.

Spraying is the preferred way of applying top coats but can also be used for primers and mid coats. This can be achieved using highly advanced electrostatic robotic spray booths as well as using hand held spray equipment.
